Bio
Clifford Fedler has over 40 years of experience in research and engineering water and wastewater systems. He is known world-wide for his research in new developments in optimizing the design of wastewater land application systems, the design of innovative ponds system for treating wastewater, recycling water for beneficial purposes, among many other sustainable systems. He has traveled to over ten countries to present his research and innovative designs to enhance sustainable systems. Notably, he has worked on the design of recirculating aquaculture systems where minimal new water is required to operate those systems.

Clifford has worked on the following projects outside of his academic position for various engineering consulting and legal firms: expert witness for the design of a recirculating aquaculture system (RAS), design of RAS in five countries, expert witness for the design of surface applied land application system, design of an industrial wastewater land application system, design of a nature-based wastewater treatment system, design of a wastewater recycling system in Australia, design of the use of an enzymatic catalyst for enhancing wastewater treatment, design of a 20 MGD land application system, expert on the removal of nitrate beneath a land application site, and other various biomass related projects. His work is cited in several standards and his innovative pond design is part of the TCEQ regulations.
